In our house, we have a fun Sunday ritual, which includes more than just eggs for breakfast. After we get our nutrition, our girls get to make waffles with dad! We've been doing this for a while and have tried MANY different "waffle mixes" over the years. As part of Influenster, we actually received a box from Krusteaz! A protein-packed Flapjack and waffle mix and I was really happy when I saw No Artificial Flavors, No Artificial Colors and No Artificial Preservatives.

In my last post we talked about Refill Cafe in Hillcrest and Northpark. Today I want to take you to Bird Rock in Little Italy in San Diego California. Little Italy is a "chic, pedestrian friendly neighborhood". You're bound to find a cool little spot and Bird Rock is definitely one of them. We actually use to live in Little Italy a few years ago so sitting back in this comfy corner reminiscing on the enormous passing planes right over our heads is just the kinda vibes we need sometimes. But you know what else I love about this place is the way they do business. From how they work with the farmers themselves. The owner has built strong relationships with these farmers and that to me stands out very strongly among other coffee shops. They're not only helping the farmers and using organic practices but also ensuring quality product for us the consumer! When you visit you not only get to experience this magical little corner, you also get to support a good wholesome business and those they work with.
refill Cafe is a beautiful Coffee Shop in University Heights and Northpark area. I came across it on instagram as I do with most of the coffee shops I visit. The fantastic lay out and colors just call out to you! You can't help but want to visit. And then you get there and it's even better in person. What is it about this magnificent color that entices the soul. And then you look up to see the building it lives in. I'm sorry but I cant help but be obsessed with the architecture and the perfect vibe of this place!
The Restaurant Our friend John came down to visit and we had to find the best place to eat sushi! because that's just what we do when John is around! We arrived at Cannonball as the sun was setting on Mission Beach and while they parked I walked directly to where the pavement meets the sand. Always filled with people running, skateboarding, bicycling and others staring into the ocean with a blank stare just like me. But you cant help but stand there feel that breeze, hear those seagulls and watch the waves crash into the ocean. I walked up the stairs super excited to enjoy the night and Cannonball did not disappoint.
